I'm using MapServer 4.8.3 w/ Apache 2.0.55 and PHP 5.1.2 (loaded as a
DSO, phpinfo() correctly reports the Server API as Apache 2.0 Handler),
all under Debian testing (Etch). PHP/MapScript and Chameleon work fine.

Neat-o. How about PHP as a DSO?
I was told, as recently as 2 months ago, that PHP/DSO was unstable -- it
would seem to work, but under moderate load would start acting flaky.
