I would suggest you use the layout window to do this.
In the map window, you can zoom in on the Idaho-Oregon-Washington
states, and put the map into the layout. Then go back to the map
window and zoom in on Alaska. Put this map into the layout.
The layout objects can be moved around. This way you can also
create a frame around Alaska, to indicate that this is an insert
that has been moved for illustrative purposes.
If you really want to change the geographic database, there is no
easy way of doing this. The only trick that comes to my mind is to
select Alaska and export it as a Text/Geography, using a specific
translation in the coordinates dialog. If you then export the
other states without translation, you can concatenate the files and
re-import them as one file into Maptitude.
