Tip #1: Reusable Themes
Upon talking with Caliper support, I learned of a reasonable method of
bypassing the product's inability to save a theme.
Create a field called "theme" or something like that. Fill it in with the
values that you want mapped. Copy the map. Update with new data in the
"theme" field. Voila: no need to recreate all your manual breaks, colors,
and legend labels.
I've decided that when I come up with a kernel of information that may be
useful to someone else, I'll pass it on to the list. I encourage other
listserv members to do the same. (Just increase the Tip Number by 1.)
Eventually, I suppose some energetic soul could turn them into a FAQ. But
meanwhile, we'll at least have a repository of solutions.
