We were concerned about this, and perplexed, since we're confident
that nothing significant has changed with regard to the software's
handling of dBASE files. To make sure we did binary comparisons
of dBASE files made with the different versions of the software and
we confirmed that there are no differences.
Reinaldo, can you give us more details about the file in question,
where it originated, what's in it, etc? Can you think of anything
else that may have been different between the two files besides what
version of Maptitude you used (such as indexing, field widths, etc)?
Also, our understanding is that dBASE III is now relatively old and
may not be, ironically, the appropriate application for confirming the
validity of a dBASE file.
