"Computer program provides more options for mapping districts
The Maptitude program Maryland has bought for $3,500 allows users to
zoom from a statewide view to an individual census-block. The software
also runs more quickly, said Karl Aro, director of the Department of
Legislative Services. The program used 10 years ago was less sophisticated
and could cost 10 times more. [Page 2b]
