[Maptitude] GPS and maptitude

I am using a Magellan 315 GPS. I have waypoints stored. I want to download to Maptitude. The cable seems to be working fine, but it seems there is no way to just download the waypoints after they are thaken in the field - Maptitude collects GPS points onlyif it is realtime hooked up to the GPS. I have a shareware GPS utility that works great but Maptitude doesn}t support the same datums (not many datums at all for non-N American maps) the utility will produce a shp file. Anyway - can I download a set of waypoints that were taken in the field, brought back to a workstation. Can{t take a kaptop into the field where I am (Peru)
