Please see our FAQ for software product names using Apache brands:

  http://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/faq/#poweredby

Note that alternate separator phrases besides "Powered By" are acceptable when the meaning of the phrase (or word) is clear from the context of the specific relationship between a third party's software product and the Apache product.

I'm not familiar with the CloudStack plugin model, but if Chip and the CloudStack PMC are happy with the name in terms of how "for" clearly fits within how plugins are developed and used, then it's fine with me.

Note: as Chip notes, the use of the full "Apache CloudStack" name is required.

Kim,

Thank you for asking!

I've CC'ed this to the Apache trademarks and brand management list to
confirm approval (they have the final say on mark usage approvals).

That being said, I would at least request the use of our full name:
"Apache CloudStack(tm)".

I'll leave it to our VP of Brand Management to formally approve this
request and provide any further comments.

Thank you again for your respect of Apache brands!

Hello:

The team at NetApp has been working on a new storage plug-in for CloudStack.
This plug-in will be available for a no-charge download from NetApp.

We have been advised that we should seek approval of the use of the name from
this group.

We' like to ask for approval of the name "Virtual Storage Console for
CloudStack" as the name for this product.

Could you let us know what steps are required to get this approval?

Thanks!
