Hi Anne: First, thanks for taking the time to reach out and respect the ASF's brands. As others have mentioned, 'powered by' works well. See: http://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/faq/#poweredby The issue that I have with 'operated by' is really an inaccuracy of the english definition of operated. It can mean use (which would probably be acceptable) or it could mean control or manage; which in my mind isn't acceptable.
