Hi all,

I've created several versions of the "Powered By" Apache CloudStack logo.

Horizontal: http://i.imgur.com/z0qdR2g.jpg

Horizontal with Cloud Monkey: http://i.imgur.com/Cosyd8o.jpg

Square: http://i.imgur.com/L3iR4Uu.jpg

Square with Border: http://i.imgur.com/EjAnLtG.jpg

I actually came across an open source font called "Generic" that is very
similar to the commercial font that was used previously. I used Generic to
create the logos above. I'd suggest updating the original Apache CloudStack
logo by replacing it with Generic.

Link to font: http://openfontlibrary.org/en/font/generic
License: SIL Open Font License (OFL)
http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&id=OFL

If everyone likes the "Powered By" logos that I've created, then I could help
create other versions with text additions such as, "Supporters of". If you have
a text addition in mind, please feel free to suggest it. I'd be happy to help
compile a list of text additions and I can request for approval by PMC.

I'd suggest cleaning up the "Graphics and Resources" page
[https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CLOUDSTACK/Graphics+and+Resources]
and adding the new "Powered By" logos there along with a link to a policy page.
As Shane had mentioned, "Must have a policy page on the project's website
noting where their Powered By logo may be used by third parties without
permission. Final review must include VP Brand or VP Legal before calling
policy official."

I can provide the vector files, RGB#s and PMS colors as well.

Any thoughts/suggestions or are welcome!

Thanks,

Karen

We had done these for CouchDB ages ago:
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/couchdb/supplement/support-logo/ - I'm not sure if
we had any trademarks counsel back then, but I just wanted to show them as
examples.

We don't do a very good job of advertising them though :)
