I've received a request to change two things on our website, regarding terminology: - Instead of solely using "open source", I was asked that we should also use "free software". - "Linux" should be referred to as "GNU/Linux". [...] Shall we aim for achieving a good mixture of both terminologies? Anyone has severe concerns on that?
Using 'free' along side 'open source' is good anyway, because it adds an extra dimension to our message, that is quite easy to understand.
The use of 'GNU' does not add anything that is easy to understand. It's more something that people 'in the know' like to see. It might look a bit more weird to people that are new. But the change that it hurts is so small, that I do not object the use of GNU/Linux.
