This is a very disappointing development. Perl is going to be MUCH harder to maintain than java. I recall the joke "A programmer had a problem. He decided to use perl. The programmer then had two problems." I don't want to get too involved in the technical details here. But perhaps you could tell me how solid this decision is, and who to discuss some of these issues with?
