The printed user guides (in English) are produced by Friends of OpenDocument Inc using Lulu.com, which uses on-demand printers (mainly Lightning Source) in several countries around the world, thus keeping shipping costs reasonably low. Books can be ordered from one to several hundred at a time, with discounts for volume purchases. (And any LO individual or group can arrange with Friends to get the books at wholesale price for resale and keep the profits for local use.) There is no cost to set up the books and make them available for purchase through Lulu.com, although one can buy distribution and other services. (I've never considered those to be cost-effective, given the quick update cycle for the software and the user guides.) I must make this info more generally available; it's on the wiki, but likely well hidden. Of course, other people can use similar services in various countries to provide non-English versions of the books. I believe the German team may do this (not sure). --Jean -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to marketing+h...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/marketing/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
