Hello,

we have a request from a supporter, who wants to use the LibreOffice
logo on his invoices, to show his appreciation.

While I really like people strengthening our brand, I'm a bit sceptical,
because I'd like to avoid confusion - he's no official partner and does
not invoice on our behalf.

Any objections we grant him the use, given our logo for external use
(http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Branding#Logo_resources_for_community_members_and_external_use)
is prefixed with something like "created using" or "powered by" or
"proud user of"?

No problem either.

I cannot imagine that he would put the logo where it could be mistaken for an official LibreOffice document. It is great to get our brand out in the wild as long as it doesn't look like an endorsement of any of his product(s)/services. It should rather look like he endorses us.

I'm all for it!

Marc

Having some indication that the company uses LO and is not a contributor to the project would be needed. "Powered By" or "Created By" may not make sense unless they use Baseto generate the invoice itself.

It would be nice to have a logo created for this purpose stating that this business or individual is a user of LO for their office suite needs. "Proud User of" added to the logo in some want would really be nice. Then having such a logo on personal and business web sites would be good marketing as well. How many web sites have you seen that has small logos/icons stating that such-n-such product was used to create the site? I see them all the time on all but the biggest company sites or selling sites.
