Immanuel,

Sophie already answered some of your points. I just wanted to stress that what
is valued here are contributions. We draw a distinction for voting or other
similar business. In order to apply for membership however you need to show
existing contributions and commit to contributing for 6 more months at least.

Back to the topic: we would like to engage users into joining our community of
contributors (tdf membership makes no difference here) and I guesd the question
is: what do we tell them and where do we take them? What would be modt likely
to make them "sign up" with us?

Thanks,

Charles.
