Hello everyone,

We have two major topics coming up, and I'd like to try something new
from a marketing perspective:

The upcoming project 20th anniversary

Leap 16.0 – what's new, migration, roadmap/lifecycle, and more

Each of these deserves proper attention. They’re practically small
projects on their own if we want to do it right.
Recently, Onuralp’s LinkedIn activity and his openSUSE + AI article
(which topped the view charts last month) showed that targeted
communication can really boost our visibility. I’d love to build on
that momentum.

This time, I’d like us to prepare ahead of time. That includes
reaching out to openSUSE-friendly YouTube channels and syncing with
Linux magazines early to shape the messaging properly. Leap 16.0 in
particular has gone through a lot of changes, and early clarity will
be important.
The goal is simple: craft a clear, consistent message and get it in
front of as many people as possible to maximize our visibility and
impact.

To help make this happen, I’d like to form a small marketing focus
group—made up of people willing to take on specific tasks and follow
through with them.

If you’re ready to help make things happen, please get in touch with
me or reply to this on the list.

I'd schedule a meeting sometime next week based on the availability of
those interested.

Thanks,
Lubos
