Dear Jim, Thank you so much for your detailed answer. Yes, you are right. I had not thought about the amount of noise that may completely overshadow the execution of application by involving those things. Anyway, The temporary output file is available after ./stop and before ./kill and the reason that I wanted to kill the simulation was that, the logging activities in ptlsim.log and dramsim.log were not stopped after the ./stop command. The log after the ./stop and before are differentiated by the "Command received: -native" line, however, there is not such a differentiating sign in dramsim.log. So, the thing that I am gonna do is to add a PRINT for the DRAMSim part of the marss.dramsim to be executed when the received command is the ./stop.
