hi,

Thanks for your help with this. It works, I set the qualifier and legal_qualifier to 'like' and used the '%' in the search.

Thank you again,

Jennifer

Sorry. I didn't read my response thoroughly before sending it.

Arek is indeed right, we DO support them. For some reason I believed
otherwise... but that's beside the point. Apologies.

I just tried the dictybase gene filter in 0.5 and it does actually still work. Damian can probably help you get it configured, or you can connect
to dictybase with MartEditor and copy what you find there.

Next time I should test things first! :)

well this test does actually tests 0.4 since DictyBase is still on 0.4
and we simply send xml there so we probably should double check
it with 0.5 anyway if Jennifer still has problems.

Jennifer - could you try again by specifying 'like' as a qualifier
and use '%' for searches and if this does not work for you,
we'll look into it/fix it if necessary

a.

cheers,
Richard

We don't support LIKE or regular expressions at all. We only support

Hang on .... let's not paint such a negative picture ;-)
we DO support them. If you want an example look at dictybase Gene filters, You need to specify 'like' as a qualifier and a legal qualifier and use
'%" for a wildcard when searching.
(They do work, I just checked - or at least they work in 0.4 unless
something happened to them in 0.5 - I hope not)

Jennifer, could you try again according to the above and see if this helps?
