For the past two Ensembl releases we have moved the public ensembl mart databases onto their own server hardware. (martdb.ensembl.org:3316)
Some old marts have (also) been made available on ensembldb.ensembl.org, these duplicates will be removed later today. James Smith Ensembl webteam.
