Hi Joachim,

MartEditor shouldnt be doing this, otherwise, it will run for ever :) It may only be testing the values for filters that are flagged to check the database values. That said, the proposed feature is definitely a good one and we can add it to the coming 0.8 release.

Hello, again,

I have noticed that for some species, where we cannot provide data
for, the 'ID list limit' filter is missing. There is still an entry
for 'Limit to genes...' though, which of course returns an empty
result set for those species.
I have now narrowed the problem down to a missing XML-entry in the
dataset configuration. Hence, MartEditor must somehow determine that
the particular attribute contains only 'null' rows in the database,
and hence, it generates no filter option.

Can someone pin-point me into the right direction where I should look
in the MartEditor sources to sort this out?

Thanks,
Joachim
