ur article is no better than the manorama articles u have pointed out as this one clearly shows ur hate, jealousy and "lower standards of journalism". if u read the Desabhimani articles (pieces aginst Right Wing or Leftist puff pieces), one can understand that they too have the vested interests of their "bosses" in their mind rather than publishing the "truth" as Desabhimani slogan says.
In kerala, we have a big "press" in the form of news papers and news channels. sadly, none of these work for the people. everyone has the vested interests of the owners.a whole of lot of lies.. thts what it has become.

The whole thing is to be understood in the back ground of what the HB Thomas I did when the present Bishop of USA & Canada Mor Thitos became a monk while he was staying in the Patriarchate in Damascus. HB Thomas I issued a Kalpana preventing him from entering any of the Churches in Ankamali diocese. This was because he was elevated as a monk without the prior permission of HB Thomas I. To him, the patriarch had to consult him before ordaining a member of the Malankara Church as  a monk. Remember this is exactly what Malankara Orthodox Church has been saying all along.
Then the Patriarch consecrated him as the bishop of USA & Canada. HB Thomas I did not like this but did not object as he thought he can use it as a excuse to have free hand to collect money from North America.  Mar Thitos on his part, though very moderate, became very fanatic to please HB Thomas I and even objected the presence of Orthodox priests in his Churches though invited by his parishioners. But after several years of experience, HB Thomas I realized that he cannot use Mar Thitos anymore. So the Society Church bodies met at Puthencruz and made resolution to make the diocese of North America a diocese of Indian Church de-linking its immediate subordination to the Patriarch. In few days Mar Thitos called his diocesan General body and passed resolutions and sent it to the patriarch asking not to delink the diocese, rather keep it as a diocese directly under the patriarch.
This made the HB Thomas I angry and went to the Patriarch and got an order dividing the diocese in to two (he was planning to eventually replace Thitos with someone else.) HB Thomas I made some twenty six priests to sign a petition addressed to the patriarch to remove Mar Thitos from the office. Soon after the order was released Mar Thitos got two priests (from Chicago and Baltimore) and a couple of laymen to go to Damascus and meet the patriarch in person. They had carried a huge amount of money with them. The patriarch was in Lebanon and the delegation met many of the rebel metropolitans and made âkaimothuâ and asked their help. When the patriarch returned from Lebanon they made âkaimothuâ to him also and got an order suspending his earlier order until the forth-coming synod of the Syrian Church in Damascus in October. This made HB Thomas I even more angry. They had a recent meeting in Kerala and decided to instead of dividing the diocese, to remove Thitos from his office. Now as it stands now Mar Thitosâ days in North America are counted. The consecration of new bishops and sacking of earlier ones is thus continuing. Some time back Mar Philexinos of Malabar was removed. Then Mar Themotheos was removed from Bahya Keralam, again a major part of his diocese was taken away to form Idukki dicoses. Mar Theophilos lost most of the parishes in his European diocese. Patrose Mar Osthatheos is removed from his responsibility in Delhi and is living in Coimbathore at his residence. Mar Thitos is going to be the latest in the list. No one knows how many will follow. Many of the bishops believed to have lamented before HB Thomas I that they do not have any resource to survive, after having paid so much to become bishop. HB Thomas 1 said in reply, the money was for them to become bishop and the rest they have to take care of themselves. And you call it a Christian Church!!!
