Would you say that is a lofty ideal? I am not at all against Islam - I think it is a very scientific and organized religion. It is hard to imagine it was founded by a mortal human - I think there was some devine intervention in the life of Prophet Mohammed which is why he could achieve somuch. Anyway, irrespective of all my appreciation to the inherant beauty of Islam, I believe in any modern society the role of religion should be limited. This is where Islam comes at cross roads with the rest of the religions because Islam is more than a traditional religion - it is a way of life. Yes, I am saying it is not ok for the islamic believers to have the special (and whimsical) traditions like keeping 4 wifes and do 'talaq' at will, when everyone else follow different law.
