The next meeting of the Million Worker March - Detroit Committee will be Friday, November 4, 2005 @ 6:00 pm @ MCHT. Please try to be early as the doors are locked sharply at 6 pm. Remember to enter from the parking lot on the Third St. side. Several of us attended the Million Worker March/Millions More Movement events in Washington, D.C. last weekend. Not only was it a very exciting and positive series of events, it really revealed a movement that is taking on steam. It is time to break out -- especially in light of the criminal neglect that occurred in New Orleans and the genocidal and racist events continuing in the aftermath that has really activated many. Reminders between now and then: * Sunday, October 23 - Be part of an afternoon of Solidarity with AMFA - the Northwest Airlines Mechanics and Cleaners * The National Conference to Reclaim Our Cities - Money for Our Cities - Not for War is November 11, 12, 13 at Wayne State University. Please help publicize this event in every way you can think of. I think we all agree that especially as the cold weather arrives -- the crisis we all are facing -- unionized and non union, working and unemployed, young and old, is getting much worse.
