Please join Michigan Welfare Rights Org. on Tuesday, March 7th at 2pm for a community discussion on the Water Affordability Program proposal. The meeting will take place at Central United Methodist Church, 23 E. Adams at Woodward (near Comerica Park). We will be reviewing the proposal and receiving an update from the MWRO attorneys about the Mayor's concerns. Another Detroit City Council vote on the water rate increase is scheduled for Wed, March 8th but we are fighting any rate increase, especially without an agreement to implement the Water Affordability Program.
