One more thing about McDs. At the retail level, guess what makes them the most money? Well, you might think large-sized set meals, and that is getting close. But the most profitable item is soft drinks. But think about it, they share the profits with Coca Cola and its distributors, and yet soft drinks (which are water, CO2 and high fructose corn syrup) are the most profitable. Next come the mutant fries. Hence the need to get you to buy both a large dose of soft drink and fries in those set meals.
