The only problem is that these Syrian "masses" constitute only a fraction of the people--the Sunnis. The Alaouite, Shiite, Christian, and Kurdish masses are not only not with them, they are definitely threatened by the Sunni jihadists patronized by the sponsors paymasters, and armorers of the rebellion in Washington, Rihad, Qatar etc. The fact is that after eighteen months of fighting the insurgents have yet to elect a leadership qualified to speak in their name. Whyever not?
