It is kinda funny, and of course a bit sad if you take it seriously. In the long run, though, silly, petty stuff like this can actually be good for the (ex) oppositionists. It's not hard for majority supporters to see this stuff for what it is, and that can be a starting point for rebuilding bridges on a personal level - which you will need to do, if only to work together in the movements.
