When you see an unironic reference to Iran as "mullah-controlled," there is
a very good chance you are reading the writings of a fool. ("Mullah," in
the Iranian context, means something very different than pretty much every
Westerner using the term imagines.)
Of course, the use of "his" as the possessive for a neuter ("regime"), and
its sloppy distribution among multiple "hims," is the second clue.
But it could be worse. I've seen a few witless commentators accurately call
ISIS takfiris and commit takfir *in the same paragraph* lately.
