The RCIT statement says: "The main target of the Turkish-Russian invasion in Idlib is Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham". It says says nothing about Turkey's plan to invade Afrin, even though the intention to do so was obvious at the time the statement was written. As far as I am aware HTS has not fired a single shot at the invading Turkish army. Instead it allowed the invaders to set up bases in territory it controlled on the border of Afrin. This is not to say that armed conflict between HTS and the Turkish army may not occur in future. But as far as I am aware it has not happened yet. Meanwhile the Syrian Democratic Forces continue their guerrilla war against the invaders in Afrin. We explained already last year what was the real reason behind Turkey's move and where it is heading too. At least by now the reality should be visible for everyone.
