However, in this case, it is a question of the opposite: namely, the incorporation, assimilation, and taming of gay and sexual liberation by the bourgeois system, with none more anxious to collaborate in the conventionalization and conservatization than middle-class homosexuals themselves (urged on by a dwindling "left" and "those with the money and power").
