Even in the very unlikely event that the Ds carve out two more Senate seats in Georgia, Biden is exactly where the D Party likes to be--unable to do anything much except wage war on the left and reach out an apparently self-regenerating hand to be bitten off by the nonhuman freaks of the Republican Party once again.
Biden is invoking FDR because he know he will never be able to to anything except compromise away what is left of the New Deal, which is what he and Jimmy Carter and the Clintons have really wanted to do ever since Carter anticipated neoliberalism before Reagan. Just watch the bastard go once he's in. The betrayals will make your head spin--and the smug "middle class" Reaganites of the DP will be in heaven until their investments vanish in the comping slump, by which time it will be too late to do anything.
