It is ridiculous to pretend anyone wants to refuse to talk people out of this shit. But there is a lot of nuance that is lost by many. Thinking Jimmy Dore is a moron for giving air time to a boogaloo to act like they aren't all that different in objectives to the left is not the same as saying we should not try to win over all of the working class.
Dore admitted earlier and maybe in this interview too, it was days or weeks ago that I watched some of it, that he did no research on the group, he simply gives air time (the earlier episode from shortly after Jan 5 he played a speech by a boogalo boy) to their pitch of populist platitudes, lies they specifically make to try to gain mass support. So is he trying to win over boogaloo boys or help them win over others?? There is something to be said about defeating them by depriving them of a base (if they had one!) and of the more aggressive workers demanding change who could drawn to a fascist message. Clara Zetkin's speech on fighting fascism discusses the pull to fascism and push away from the socialist parties. But we are far from 1924 Italy or Germany. The task at hand is different, these groups are so small.
