Set aside Marv's lie, since I did not say a word about a one-party state, about no freedom of assembly, and about no right to vote. He thinks those three things are essential to fascism. I suppose so, for those who cannot separate the content of fascism from the form it took 90 years ago. But when you come at the problem from the other end - is bourgeois democracy disintegrating - and when you acknowledge that there is no hard and fast point at which you can say it was here and now it is gone, then Marv's confusion and/or duplicity is on display in his focus on whether the Trumpists want to "destroy the existing constitutional structures." Add in that progressives have long spoken about enlarging or realizing democracy when they fought slavery, demanded the vote for women, struggled for trade union rights, and on and on.
