Good morning John: I appreciate very much the tone of your remarks - and certainly the passion-spirit in them. I return to an earlier note of yours, in this strand. I have read the other responses also. However I was rather immersed in other pressing stuff and could not respond earlier. But those pressures being now temporarily subsided, coupled to the revolting spectacle of Biden yesterday - has prompted me to return to your note.
Of course this note of yours is quite understandable. My comments may be really in the manner of 'where next' queries I suppose. I hope it is clear to you, that I am not trying to pose any 'got you' questions. I am trying to understand some consequences of both your, but also my (evolving) position. Anyway: i) The question of "lesser-evilism" - Biden is of course as you point out just another face of ruthless capital. But, open fully-fledged fascism does have worse consequences of organising for the possibility of confronting capital within the USA. Query: Is this not true? ii) You say that the DP is not where the workers are. Query: Where are they, in the context of reaching to them for purposes of organisation and exposure? iii) You say that the Leninist policy of 'the rope and hanged persons' is outdated and not needed. But you and all on this list (as far as I can see - regardless of origin and background and current societal "status") - are on a completely different wicket and category than the 'average' voter or member of society. Query: Why do you think these others have no illusions about the 'normal, democratic path'? iv) If there is one certain way that the people can move beyond that is to be organised in a wide movement - what is that movement to you? Query: What is the role of an independent party explicitly Marxist or something?
