No. But there are no Chinese EV's in the US. If there were, and they were in demand as they would be because of their lower cost and reportedly superior quality to the established brands, there would be the same outcry as there would be if a tariff were suddenly to double the price of Macbooks, iPhones, and other Apple products. That's why I described the ban as "preemptive."
