On the goal: Humankind is on the threshold of passing from industrial civilization powered by burning hydrocarbons to a fundamentally new energy base that supports and is supported by a new mode of production. We are at the door of both socialism and a new energy base of human society. We can find it. We need it to escape further disaster from global warming. We need it to pass from the deadly capitalist world to a better world for all.
