Hello Fred:

The series of reports you have detailed, were very helpful to me at any rate.
Thanks.

This latest view from Reinaldo Antonio Iturriza López  is also helpful in its
breakdown. Although I do think that having laid out pretty clearly both the
party divisions and the divisions in the class, the interviewee thorws out this
-to me - non-sequiter:
"All of this means that typical interpretations are completely inadequate for
assessing what has happened in Venezuela since July 28. They are based, at
best, on superficial readings and, at worst, on a complete ignorance of what
has occurred in recent years in terms of the balance of political forces".

At first this confused me as it stood in a sharp contrast to what he
(?assuming) said.  However since it does not quit jibe with the rest - I go
with the rest. It is very interesting that he insists on "we need to instead
start with what has actually occurred; that is, with indisputable facts. " Then
goes on to detail the abundant (apparently) legal deficiencies.

What advice did he have (or was he asked) as to the posture that foreign left
groups should take on these elections?

Be well, H
