It should be mentioned that US health-care companies get $2300 per
patient/customer per year for their Advantage plasn. That is, a Medicare
recipient can choose to just use medicare or to join a "Medicare Advantage"
program offered by an insurance company, HMO or other healthcare provider. And
the company gets $2300 a year just for offering medicare services. That is, US
taxpayers pay an additional $2300 a year for each Medicare recipient who
chooses a Medicare Advantage plan and thereby gets further entangled in the
for-profit US healthcare system.
Like Obamacare, US medical programs can't do what they are intended to do
because they are larded with subsidies to pharmaceutical companies, insurance
operators, Hospitals and other businesses.
