We have seen this play book before. Odds are on the eve of the election, with much fanfare, a ceasefire "deal" will be announced by Biden or Blinken. Remember, just before the election in 1968 LBJ announced that the bombing of North Vietnam would stop and just before the 1972 Presidential election Kissinger announced that "Peace is at hand" in Vietnam. Both of those were, of course, flat out lies and were quickly shown to be such. After the elections, of course. The fly in the ointment this time is Netanyahu, of course. If BiBi doesn't play along, the whole thing might not work. I suspect he will though, as the Dems are giving him everything he wants in the way of munitions. Given the Dems consistent compliance with Israeli war requirements, that might make them preferable to the Israelis over Trump's unpredictability. SR
