An intriging subject here;

now, language cannot be considered fundamental to thought since the acquisition
of words was achieved by way of thought.

Language is simply a code to transmit materiel events as well as thought by way
of memory, abstraction, approximation and metaphor.

As for Materialism, one is obliged to begin with the obvious recognition that
we are mere creatures who can only perceive a portion of the actuality. By
definition, we are only partially Materialistic and as such this cannot be
taken as a Methodology in itself. This becomes the critique of Empiricism and
its Formal logic.

Methodology that is pluralist is necessary and as such political analysis
cannot be based in the proceedings of any one language or culture.

What then are the building blocks of language. Such terms must have a sensorial
effect which stimulates the memory of a certain sensation in sound, light
etcetera.

The codification of sounds then becomes language.

Essentially, all language is composed of feelings irrespective of any
particular language.

I have not written materialism but physicalism, a form of vulgar-materialist
approach, as epitomized by DM Armstrong.
Physicalism was a philosophical project to establish a strict (yet not
necessary) identity between concrete mental events and detectable physical
phenomena in the brain.

Sorry that was unclear.

It was a query to Ioannis Aposperites. So Ioannis - if the Sci American article
swerved too much to materialism (I think that was your comment) - what is your
reaction Lenin's "Materialism and empirocriticism" and the designation there on
thoughts?

Thx H
