1 - voting for a pseudoleftist in a third world country where the right run death squads is different from voting for a genocide enabler in the USA. I don't know how I would have voted if I was Brazilian but I do remember Lula sent troops to Haiti, so I'm not a fan.
2 - there isn't anything in that letter (from, among others, Democrat Party members no less) that differs from anything else I've read encouraging the backsliders to vote for this genocide enabler. It comes when polls suggest Arab Americans are shifting away from the Democrats. It reads like panic. 3 - I find it ironic that the best they can do is say "please vote for this genocide enabler. I know she's awful but she might change". Any "might" is just speculation. Did she ever speak out against the moving of the embassy to Jerusalem? Is she planning to move it back to Tel-Aviv? Or is she just repeating "Israel's right to defend itself" and sending more bombs? 4 - I doubt there are enough "marxists" or people influenced by them to swing any vote in any state. If there were, this debate would not be happening because we'd be a genuine force to be reckoned with and taken seriously by the working class and the bourgeoisie. 5 - putting Marxist in scare quotes if they won't encourage a vote for a genocide enabler is petty and insulting. We're all grown ups here. We can have serious disagreements without deciding that if you have a different approach to a bourgeois election you must be a "marxist" rather than a Marxist. If Harris is elected, suddenly listens to the Palestinian movement, and stops the arms shipments, I'll be delighted and I'll happily write to this list to say I was wrong. I don't see it happening.
