Wiki - "Some scholars (e.g. Loren Graham) have speculated that his death may have been suicide because Bogdanov wrote a highly nervous political letter shortly beforehand."
In 1928, the year Bogdanov died, the left opposition was destroyed. Stalin had deported Trotsky in January of that year, so Bogdanov certainly had reason to be nervous. But one could speculate just as easily that he was taken down by the OGPU and it was made to look like suicide. I haven't read the letter, but if he doesn't say he is going to end it all, speculating about what "really" happened is just gossip in the echo chamber. Why parrot it if it doesn't get us closer to the truth? His death 'should' rather than 'could' be attributed to an experiment gone wrong. Without evidence to the contrary occam's razor applies. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
