I know a lot of people depressed right now watching what is going on in North Americas. Given my age, many are pensioners who are actually simply worried about their pensions. Of those up North in Canada, several I know are simply worried about the tariffs and a recession and groceries. There is an unleashing BTW up here of a robust nationalism which will IMO is needed to resist the threats/tariffs - will have a definite effect as always, of glossing over the class divide.
