And as a historian I know very well how the VOC operated... how Leopold II operated in his Congo Free State... and how the Belgian State dealt with the Belgian Congo... Furthermore, as a world citizen I follow what is happening in the world every day, via Dutch, French and English media.
My final remark therefore comes straight from my heart: the DRC is no match for the large Chinese companies and the population unfortunately has to bear the consequences...
