Mamdani approaches Trump for a meeting and will get it Friday. Whatever the calculations on the two sides, this does indicate an inside-game mindset on Mamdani's part.
Popular protest can do a lot to make ICE raids fail. Popular discontent may extract tiny concessions around the edges, like pulling back from a doubling of health care premiums. But this only slows down the turn of the screws on the working class. John's "Mamdani Movement" and his hope for mass "disruption of society as a whole" are non-starters. There is no quick answer.
