Avram replies to me: Formosan Association for Public Affairs - "...Since Taiwan had been legally ceded by the Qing to the Japanese in 1895 [at the point of a bayonet no less!] it was impossible for the newly established ROC to claim and inherit territorial sovereignty over Taiwan... It has been long overdue for the free world to stand up together and counter China's increasing bullying and aggression against Taiwan."
