A key element of the new foreign policy strategy of the Trump Administration is the pacification of the Middle East by an alliance of Israel and pro-Western Arab states under the patronage of American imperialism. This would allow the U.S. to stop military interventions in the region and to withdraw a large part of its overstretched armed forces. This is part of their new foreign policy concept which recognises the decline of the former hegemon and advocates a shift towards detente with Russian and Chinese imperialism as well as a focus on total domination of the “Western hemisphere”. Trump’s “pacifist” policy towards Putin, aimed at closer collaboration with Russia and plundering of the Ukraine, the aggressive stance against the European Union and his military aggression against Venezuela are a result of this new strategy.
