Indeed. Giving their close working relationship, I am tempted to call it JBF's and PB's metabolic rift analysis! It is puzzling to me why Foster never followed up on Burkett's concept of labour power as a common-pool resource. In fact, I have not been able to find much citation of Burkett's LP as a C-PR, which becomes a bit of an embarrassment for me. A minor conference paper ( https://snuproject.wordpress.com/2013/05/21/labour-as-a-common-pool-resource-by-tom-walker/ ) on LP as a C-PR I wrote in 2010 has gotten more traction. At the time I wrote my piece, I was not aware that Burkett had written on it a decade earlier, although I had undoubtedly read his article in which he discussed it a decade earlier.
