No jokes, please. This is serious business: ON THE SWEETNESS OF STALINBRO TEARS, CENSORSHIP, GATE-KEEPERS, LIFE BANS, AND PIRATE SCAB PDFS ( https://substack.com/inbox/post/183135746?r=1578r7&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true&triedRedirect=true ) Sebastian Budgen. Seriously, though, two points: 1. it is no reflection on Grover Furr that Nick Fuentes wants to read his books. 2. It is disappointing but not surprising that John Bellamy Foster is salivating over Gabriel Rockhill in their Youtube discussion. Maybe it's just my opinion but I don't accept that JBF's "metabolic rift theory" is entirely his. I don't mean because it originates in Marx. I think the key moment in the emergence of JBF's theory was a critique by Paul Burkett, who in reviewing JBF's 1994 The vulnerable planet : a short economic history of the environment wrote, "What emerges — and I think Foster's exposition could have made this more explicit — is a dynamic view of each capitalist stage as an organic whole whose internal socio-economic and ecological contradictions and conflicts condition subsequent stages of the global people-nature metabolism and corresponding struggles." To Foster's credit, he took Burkett's critique to heart but I don't believe he ever understood "his" theory as well as Burkett did. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group.
