However there have been numerous left attempts to understand the failure of the Chavez - then the Maduro 'Bolivarian revolution; - to move from the first phases of a national bourgeois attempt to control the oil, but from there into the socialist revolution. This failed, no amount of sugar can conceal that. We addressed this before as my latest paper on Maduro's abduction referenced heavily. My problem with your approach is that in numerous posts over the years dumped on the improvement in the situation of the working class under their party. Yet at the same time you uplift the rather more dramatic failed effort in Venezuela. Indeed there are collective lessons from both - and the contrast between them.
