Chris Hedges joins Tucker Carlson. What else is to be expected from him, though? After all, for years Hedges worked for - was paid by - the fascist connected Putin. But it's not just Hedges. This is exactly what I was commenting on <https://oaklandsocialist.com/2026/02/28/as-trump-plans-to-bomb-iran-multiple-dangers-loom-large/> previously - that the "left" (if you can consider the previous agent of Putin a left) will make common cause with the fascist pro-Nazi anti semitic right. There is hardly a shade of difference between the position of Hedges and that of Carlson <https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugkx6PfqtJw04pq5DhiAmwnTKj6DRzK--Eve>. No, the Trump Triumvirate did not order the attack on Iran in order to make Israel happy. That claim is just a dog whistle for the pro-Nazi anti-semites, a dog whistle sounded by Carlson, Nick Fuentes, and now Hedges. The Trump triumvirate did it - as the history shows! - because they understand the threat of the Iranian revolution and want to divert it - either into a Pahlavi/MEK regime or into the breakup of Iran, or both. And note that Hedges - just like Carlson - issues not one word of support for the heroic Iranian revolution. Not a hint of support. Hedges hates and fears any genuine workers revolution if it is against a regime that is in conflict with the US.
This alliance with the likes of Tucker Carlson, Darryl Cooper and Nick Fuentes will lead to disaster. Opportunist that he is, Hedges may escape. But sooner or later these Nazi-like forces - both within the regime and outside it - will turn on socialists. Among other things, they will claim partly by dog whistles that the socialists represent "the Jews"... and then all hell will break loose, way worse than it has already.
